1. The International Competition for percussion
instruments PENDIM is open to all candidates satisfying
the conditions of age and level of preparation.
2. The competition is held in six age groups for
individual performers and two age groups for ensembles.
3. The age group is determined according to the
completed years of age up to 1st April 2003.
4. Candidates at will can compete in the next age
group with the respective repertoire.
A. Individual Performers
I. group - up to 11 years of age
II. group - up to 13 years of age
III. group - up to 15 years of age
IV. group - up to 17 years of age
V. group - up to 19 years of age
VI. group - up to 26 years of age
B. Ensembles
I. group - the sum total of the years of
age of all participants must be no more than 57 years for trio,
76 years for quartet and 95 years for quintette. The participants
must be up to a maximum of 20 years of age.
II. group - the sum total of the years of age of all participants
must be no more than 75 years for trio, 100 years for quartet. The
participants must be up to a maximum of 30 years of age.
5. The auditions are open to the public.
6. The candidates are estimated by
competent adjudicators, distinguished Bulgarian and foreign pedagogues
and instrumentalists. The adjudicators work according to the Regulations,
accepted and approved by the Organizing Committee and have the right
not to award all the prizes.
7. One schedule rehearsal is provided
in the same hall, where the Competition will be held.
8. The Committee can place at the
disposal of the candidates accompanists and additional rehearsals
on request in advance.
9. The travel and accommodation expenses
and accompanist costs are at participant's own charge.
10. Lots for the order of participation
are drawn officially.
