Regulations

1. The International Competition for percussion instruments PENDIM is open to all performers who meet the requirements of age and level of preparation.

2. The competition is held in six age groups for individual performers and one group for ensembles.

3. The groups:.

A. Individual Performers

I. group - born after 01.04.1994
II. group - born between 01.04.1992 and 31.03.1994
III. group - born between 01.04.1990 and 31.03.1992
IV. group - born between 01.04.1988 and 31.03.1990
V. group - born between 01.04.1986 and 31.03.1988
VI. group - born between 01.04.1978 and 31.03.1986

B. Ensembles

The sum total of the years of age of all participants must be no more than 75 years for a trio, and 100 years for a quartet. The participants must be 30 years old or younger.

4. Contestants may compete in a higher age group with the respective repertoire.

5. The auditions are open to the public.

6. The candidates will be judged by a competent jury composed of:

7. All participants may have one scheduled rehearsal in the same hall, where the competition will be held.

8. The Committee can provide the competitors with accompanists and additional rehearsal rooms upon explicit request in advance.

9. Participants cover their travel and accommodation expenses and accompanist costs.

10. Lots for the order of participation will be officially drawn.

Ensemble participants - 25 EURO for each performer

  • The fee must be paid to the Organizational Secretary, the day before the participation.
  • The application documents can be submitted in person or sent by post no later than February 7th, 2005 to the following address:
