Every Pendim instrument has our 2-year warranty on materials and workmanship, on top of your legal rights.

Instruments: 2-year warranty

Pendim xylophones and marimbas have our 2-year warranty from delivery, at no extra cost, for every buyer, businesses included. The warranty stays with the instrument: if it changes hands within the 2 years, the new owner is covered too, with the original order number.

If a fault in the materials or the workmanship shows up in that time, we repair the instrument or replace the faulty part. Pendim pays the transport both ways, and where we can, we send you the replacement part (a bar, a resonator, a wheel) so the instrument does not have to travel.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage from accidents or misuse, damage from storing the instrument in very damp, dry or hot conditions, or repairs and changes made by someone else.

Mallets

Mallets wear with playing: yarn and heads wear down over time, and that is not a fault. If a mallet arrives faulty or not as described, tell us and we will put it right.

Worn mallets do not have to be thrown away: we can re-wrap them with new yarn for a fee. Ask us for a price.

Looking after your instrument and mallets

  • Keep the instrument away from heaters, air conditioning and direct sun. Wood moves with heat and humidity, and a steady room is best.
  • Cover it when it is not played, and move it with care.
  • Clean the bars with a soft, dry cloth, without sprays or polish.
  • Use very hard mallets only on instruments made for them: they can dent or crack wooden bars.
  • Keep mallets dry and out of hot cars, and do not leave them lying on the bars.

Your legal rights

If you buy as a consumer, you also have the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under Bulgarian law, on everything you buy from us, mallets included. Our warranty comes on top of it and does not limit it. See section 8 of our terms and conditions.
